David Higgs, President

David begun his career in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 1990, gaining hands on experience in International Operations, Air, Ocean and Cross Border Road freight. He later moved to Johannesburg South Africa, taking on responsibility for Trade Lane growth and Business Development. In 1998 he became Country CEO for Lep Africa – GeoLogistics. His work with GeoLogistics then brought him to the United Kingdom, where he led operations and sales for the company. Since moving to the US in 2001, David has held senior operations and sales positions in the UK and US with leading companies such as DB Schenker, BAX Global, General Freight Services, and Crowley Maritime.

Angela Higgs, Senior Vice President

Angela Higgs grew up in a military family and lived in many different locations throughout North America. Angela begun her career in 1987, as a Logistics Manager for a large Mining company, before joining Schenker in International Operations in Cincinnati Ohio. After relocating to Atlanta Georgia, in the early 90s, Angela joined Lep Profit (GeoLogistics), in International Operations looking after Key Accounts. Angela was later promoted to Director and subsequently Vice President of Global Sales.

After the sale of GeoLogistics to Agility, Angela joined Hellman Worldwide Logistics as Vice President of Global Account Development and later, ABX Logistics as Vice President of Global Ocean Procurement and became a board member. Angela has travelled extensively throughout her career, spending the majority of her time in Asia focused on Ocean Procurement and the implementation and retention of Global customers. Angela has also spent a great deal of time in Europe and Sub Saharan Africa, as part of her Global responsibilities.

Fernando Mejia – International Airfreight Manager (Atlanta)

Fernando started his career in 1997 as a Cargo Expeditor for Gateway Freight Services (now Swissport) supporting cargo movements for various international airlines. During this time Fernando attended El Camino College in Gardena, CA. After graduating from college Fernando joined Mercury Air Cargo and spent three years as a Lead Cargo Agent. Fernando was then recruited to join Eagle Freight with responsibility for Domestic Airfreight Operations. Fernando then moved into a Supervisory function for DHX/DGX in International and Domestic operations. More recently Fernando has spent eight years at Consolidators International Inc., starting out as Air Export Manager, and subsequently promoted to Vice President of National Airfreight Operations. Fernando is DG certified and has extensive training and experience in all facets of International and Domestic Airfreight Consolidation Operations.
